I had a huge writing deadline this weekend, which of course meant I wasted hours and hours and didn't accomplish anything. I hit a low on Sunday when I watched 3 hours of a PBS telethon, then the god-awful romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. It was torturous, yet I seemed to prefer it to actually getting work done...
If I don't try then I willn't fail. Why do we keep trying to make that idea work?

"Just one more" is a favorite, whether it be a game, a level, a chapter, an episode, or something else.
That gets dangerous when it degenerates into either "just one more cookie" or "just one more drink". ;)
My worst and most commonly occuring situation is putting off projects until the day before, in the afternoon, then reluctantly starting and working through the night and morning with the aide of plenty of caffeene and/or trucker speed. Worst worst case scenario: an 8x11x3" plaster relief carving. The last minute cram made it so I couldn't use my carving hand well for almost a week. It inspired me to work on not procrastinating...too bad I've been procrastinating on that as well.
